A weakened reserve side made the long trip to current Capital League champions Dulwich Hamlet, but they gave a good account of themselves before going down to a 3-0 defeat that flattered the home side. Dulwich were in command early on but the defence held strong until conceding just before half-time. But the Woods kept battling away, and should have scored twenty minutes into the second-half when Theo Ohene's goal-bound shot was touched home by Jason Dean who had been in an offside position. It was a bitter blow, made worse when Dulwich broke forward a few minutes later and, despite offside claims, notched a second crucial goal. From then, the Woods hung in but conceded a third late in the game. |
